Progressivism Versus Conservatism. A Fight To The Finish.

One of the things that has made this country so great among other nations, is the first amendment to the US Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

This part of our bill of rights was so important in the eyes of the founders, that it was given top billing. First in the stack so to speak. Without freedom of speech and freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom to gather and to petition the government for a *redress of grievances, we would be living under the thumb of our government. These were wise men and they each knew what happens when your government becomes so powerful, that you live in fear of it.

So where are we at now? It appears that the very government that we have been the beneficiaries of, for so long is going askew. It has overgrown its boundaries and we are no longer in control of it, it on the other hand is controlling us. The very basic rights guaranteed to Americans, under the US Constitution are being continually put to the test and assaulted by what seems to be a leftist ideology. Is this conspiracy theory? Lets take a closer look and see.

Since it became all too apparent that this administration was veering away from it’s pre-election selling points of being a centrist and a uniter, with transparency in government and a post racial miracle cure, along with some hopey-changy B.S., followed by government takeovers of almost everything that makes money in this country and the insane squandering of our hard earned taxpayers dollars (mine too damn it!) via; TARP and pork-u-lus coupled with the arrogant attitude emanating from Washington which has been quite simply stated: “we are screwing you and there is not a hell-of-a-lot thing that you can do about it!” It is no wonder that mainstream America finally pulled their collective head’s out of the sand and screamed out loud; “WTF!” I know that I did and probably you too if you are reading this. To put it in simple, easy to understand language, that even a liberal can understand, you have pushed us to the breaking point and we are pissed!

My America, that I love so dearly, has been torn apart by this renegade administration and big brother is moving deeper into your and my life, than at any time in past history. This is what happens when you turn your backs on progressives and neglect to mind the store. They are thieves. They will steal you and I blind, right under our very nose if you let them. They have stolen our prosperity, our freedoms and our moral values.

Out of all of this chaos that they created, a movement arose; “The Tea Party.” Mainstream Americans that stood up finally and said; “we have had enough!” Now, look at it closely. Is it really a party? Not in the political party sense, or at least not yet. It is however doing something that is scaring the crap out of the progressives; it is growing. GROWING! They would love for it to just go away, back to what it was when they first took over DC. They have been so used to passing legislation without any thought of a backlash, that it just seemed normal to them. This is nothing new under the sun folks. They have been doing this for many years, you were just not paying attention.

• Prohibition. They decided for you, that you did not need to take a drink any more. That went over real well. It Started the gangster wars and made law abiding citizens into common criminals. It also made a few people very wealthy. Like: the Kennedy’s.
• The gold standard. Once was a time when our currency was backed up by gold, in the federal depository. That is history. Now we just print more money when we run out. I wish that I could do that at home!
• Income tax. That was a great one!
• Social Security. Truly a marvelous plan, the only thing was; there was all of this un-spent money just laying there, what a great opportunity for the Feds. (They won’t even notice, if we take just a bit to pay some of our bills with.) It’s broke now and yes we noticed.

• Remember prayer in school? They took that away and you said; “okay we didn’t really need that anyways, it’s okay.”
• Welfare, social entitlements and affirmative action. Don’ t even get me started. The first one has sucked this country dry. Whatever happened to working for a living?
• Cut the military budget to balance the budget. That is how the progressives operate best. Spend more money than we have on entitlements, raise taxes and cut the military budget to pay for it. Who needs National Security anyways. Right? Clinton and his staff excelled in this.
• TARP
• Obama-Care. A Ponzi scam, to beat all Ponzi scams. A total lie from beginning to end.
• Immigration Policy. Or lack of a policy, is drying up the economies of many of our individual states. Their hospitals are overcrowded, law enforcement is taxed, our jails are full of illegals costing us a fortune and I have to press one for English. That in it self is ridiculous.

So “The Tea Party” has been born. Opposition in the form of Conservatism. The antithesis of progressivism. It has stuck in their craw and they are screaming out loud. Bigots! Racists! Anti- Americans! Brown Shirts! Home-grown Terrorists! Hard to defend yourself against all of those lies isn’t it? What are we really? Americans mostly. Working people, young and old, black and white, Some Asian and some Hispanic. People from all walks of life.

We have been asleep at the wheel way too long. The progressives will destroy this country, if left unchecked. You lose your liberties a little bit at the time and you are lulled into that; it will be alright mentality. Look what happened in less than two years. That really is nothing, compared to what has been happening all along. We let it happen. Look folks, it’s like this; the other side never rests. They keep on pushing their agenda regardless. They have been, for a very long time.

Our founding fathers were very smart and wise men. Notice that freedom of speech and religion are in the first amendment. Ahh…but the second amendment is the eye catcher!

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Why do you suppose that was next in importance? I will tell you why. In case the first amendment is violated. A well armed public is a deterrent to a government out of control. They know that all too well. So ask yourself this; what amendment have they been trying to get rid of the most? You guessed it. The second amendment. Think it cannot happen? Guess again.

So what is next on this administrations agenda? Want to make any bets? Stand up for your liberty. Teach your children about patriotism and the founding fathers of this great nation. Teach your children about the sanctity of the family and honor. Teach them to be ever alert to the dangers of apathy. Most of all; VOTE! Know your candidates and vote, every single election is important. It is your duty as an American citizen. Let this be a wake up call.

Short Skirts And A Faltering Economy

I am not sure you would call this story an article, as much as it should be called a “Rant”. I think that I have finally reached the limit on the amount of “B.S.” that a human being can digest in one sitting. With all of the monkey poop that has been thrown at the public from behind the cage doors of the liberal news media this past seventeen months following the immaculate election of PBO, with his delusions of success in everything from; the stimulus, to the bank and auto manufacturer bailouts, the grossly flawed number of jobs created or saved, coupled with; ”a world wide…the US really sucks tour” and now the oil spill that keeps on spilling, even though the government has been there from day one. I have finally reached a state of complete overload. This being brought about by over-hearing a radio newscast today, that made me pop my cork.

It stated the following: “Rising hemlines – along with upbeat songs on the radio – are signs of national optimism and can result in a happy outcome on both the economic and political scenes, according to a new research reported by the Daily Express.”

“When women start wearing mini skirts and happy tunes rise high on the charts, this means the nation is feeling content, according to John L. Casti, author of “Mood Matters: From Rising Skirt Lengths to the Collapse of World Powers.”

“All social events ranging from trends in pop music and art to the outcome of elections and even the rise and fall of great civilizations are biased by the attitudes a society holds to the future,” he said in the Daily Express.

Well…what do you think about that? In the words of comedian Lewis Black, “Who the f–k knew?” John L. Casti, a mathematician /economist, thinks that short skirts are the answer to the nations economic ills. I had to sit back, digest that for a bit and then I screamed so loud, that I am almost certain my brain hemorrhaged! It is not the fact that Mr. Casti formulated this opinion that upset me so, he may very well think that short skirts are the answer to all things bad. There was a time in my life when I too could agree with him on this matter. No! What snapped my mind, was the liberal news media’s attempt at yet another sugar coated news story. Their propaganda machine is cranking out their twisted views, at a rate rivaling that of Sir Elton John’s prolific songwriting career. Give me a break!

Try telling that lame story to a man who has been out of work for the last year and a half or to the fishermen down in Louisiana, who have lost their way of life, as a result of the total in-competence of this administration. Take a long hard look at our increasing national debt and the willingness of this bunch of clowns in DC to spend even more of our hard earned money. What is next? Tax increases for sure, but even they will not pay down this over-whelming debt. $12.5 trillion! That’s with a T! If this spending spiral does not stop soon, this great country and all of it’s history of patriotism, freedom and economic success will fade to black. It doesn’t take an economist to predict that! Common sense is enough and it looks as if that trait is rare in Washington these days.

So, the economy is faltering, there is zero job growth, we now have nationalized health care for everyone, the banks have been taken over by the government, PBO wants to kick somebody’s a– over the oil spill, instead of trying to stop it and Joe Biden just got through calling some poor schmuck, a smart a–, over his remark about lowering our taxes, even though he had just given the VP a free ice cream cone. Talk about your in-gratitude. After that colorful interlude from the VP, I would have insisted the Biden pay me for the cone!

Mr. Casti may very well be on to something! Maybe I just didn’t reason it out well enough. Bring on the short skirts! Break out the booze and lets all have a party to forget this awful mess that we are in! Ignorance is bliss. Can you dig it?

Transparency in the Obama Administration

Of all of the pre-election campaign promises made and subsequently broken, that the Obama Cartel made and actually followed through with, one would have to say that his promise for transparency, is right on track. Let’s look at his track record so far.

In less than two years, Obama’s so-called centrist platform that he ran on to entice the voters, has taken a hard left and is leading this country away from its Constitutionally based Democracy. He has shredded the US Constitution in his quest to re-distribute wealth and turn us into European styled Socialists. He has created enough debt, to ensure that every man, woman and child in this country and all of their grandchildren and their great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren will owe an enormous amount of money from now on, to pay off that debt. That is of course, if we don’t go belly up first. To be sure, your taxes will go up as a result.

He has chased away all of our trusted allies around the globe (not that we had that many anyways). He has apologized to the world, for everything under the sun, real or imagined, that the US has done, at the expense of our world leadership position and our beacon of freedom that we have held for many decades. Making us look weak by our enemies and a laughing-stock to the rest of the world. He has succeeded in dividing this nation against itself like no other administration has done since the Civil War.

With the help of his Justice Department and the Attorney General, he has un-done all of the hard and dangerous work, that our military personnel have literally given their lives for, in rounding up the people responsible for 911, by forgoing military tribunals for trials in our civil court system, thereby giving them the same rights as common criminals and proposing to have the proceedings just blocks away from the scene of the World Trade Center massacres.

He has nationalized most of our economy, including the auto manufactures, our health care system, a large part of the banking institutions and most recently has set his sights on Wall Street. He does all of this and now is assaulting Arizona’s tough, new stance on illegal immigration as racist and challenging the role that an individual state can play in protecting it’s best interests.

Cap and Trade, a secret code word for higher energy costs and taxes is looming over the horizon along with immigration reform, that ultimately will give amnesty to all illegal immigrants in this nation.

So where does the transparency part play into all of this? I shall try to elaborate. Remember all of the doctors that came to his side in Washington at that press conference (all of them supposedly in solidarity with PBO) and the white coats that they “spontaneously” decided to wear as a sign of their profession? Remember all of the town hall meetings that PBO spoke at with a so-called cross-section of American people attending? (They were portrayed as fair and balanced and representing mainstream America.) Remember the Leaders of both houses assuring the American people of how great the health care take over was going to be for the deficit and us? (Consequently the CBO told a completely different story) Now a group of police chiefs, has met with Attorney General Eric Holder, to protest Arizona’s new immigration law. All (lo and behold!) unbeknownst to PBO’s administration. (They do not represent the views of all of the police chiefs around the country, just a few.)

In the classic words of Gomer Pyle; “Gawwwwwwwwww-leeeeeeeeee!” Do you see it? It is right in front of your very eyes! TRANSPARENCY! Yes, transparency is alive and well with the Obama Cartel! Still stumped? Let me spell it out for those of you that are still lagging behind; it is very “clear” that something fishy is going on here. (ie; transparency!) It is very “clear” that the PBO administration, thinks that we are all schmucks. It is very “clear” that they think that they are pulling one over on us and it is very “clear” that they think that we can’t do anything about their shenanigans!
There! Transparency in it’s purest form!

There is hope though. November is coming. We can change the way that those rascal’s in congress are using transparency to change the very foundation of this great country, by collectively voting their transparent *sses out!

IMF Report. US Debt Will Be 100% Of GDP By 2015.

Don’t you just hate it when someone ends a discussion with the words; “I told you so!” Quite irritating isn’t it? Well, here we go. $789 billion for stimulus I, $87 billion for bank bailouts, $80 billion for the automakers bailout, $1.2 trillion for health care, add a few other programs recently passed and we top about $3 trillion in spending in the first year of PBO’s administration. That is conservatively speaking of course. These price tags are only preliminary. They are sure to escalate over time. In fact, they are guaranteed to escalate. In the history of federal government sponsored spending programs, I am not aware of a single one that ever came out under the original estimate. Yet our leaders spend a great amount of time and effort, trying to convince the public that they are spending our money wisely and that they will bring all of their grandiose spending bills in under budget.

If you believe all of that, I have some ocean front property in Nevada that I would like to sell you. Anyone with the least amount of sense can tell you that, it is not possible to spend yourself out of debt. If your debt exceeds your income, the logical step to take to reduce your debt, is to reduce your spending. That is economics 101. Even us dim-witted Joe Schmoes, know how to keep our checkbooks properly balanced to avoid an overdraft charge from the bank.

Our entire economic system is literally based on the belief, that the dollar is worth something. Years ago when we were on the gold standard, there was something tangible, backing up the value of the dollar. This Fiat currency that we have now, is a made-up work, of the likes of Alice In Wonderland. Our Congress buys into that notion, by spending as much as they like, without any fear of the economic collapse of our great nation. They seem to believe that we have an endless supply of money and that they are free to increase the size of government to any proportion, so they can regulate all of the idiotic entitlement programs that they can generate. Adding of course, more cost to their bill. How far can they go before they break the bank?

Apparently until the year 2015. At that point, according to the IMF, this nations debt will be at 100% of our GDP. In other words; we will owe, as much as we produce. What happens then? One need look no further than Greece. The EU is now in the process of bailing out an entire country. Greece is facing riots in the streets by angry citizens, upset by their own governments attempt to decrease their debt by cutting expenses. Kind of hard to trim the fat after you are used to eating it that way for so long.

Europe is a prime example of how NOT to run your economy. With all of the entitlement programs that they have, their citizens wind up paying for it out the nose, from excessive taxation. It would make better sense from a sane persons point of view to not spend any more than you earn. We, however are not quite as smart as the ones in DC, are we? Tim Geitner, the head of the IRS, could not even figure out how to file his own income tax. Now the Europeans are warning us about our own spending! Folks, we are in deep sh _t and yet our trusted federal government wants to keep on spending, and at some point in time, they are going to have to ask the question that is on everybody’s mind. “Where is all of this money going to come from?” What is their answer? Lets raise their taxes!

I have said it from the beginning, this healthcare scam (and that is exactly what it is, a scam) has only one intention and that is to tax us even more, under the guise of free health care for everyone, hence the urgency of its passage. Our government thinks of us as so stupid, that we will not figure this out and so arrogant as to believe that we will not do anything about it. What is so crazy about the entire deal is that the simplest thing to do to bring us out of these dire straits is to reduce federal spending. Period! Cut out the pork. Do away with the unnecessary entitlements. Welfare programs are draining this nation as more and more people jump on the gravy train. The government is spending more and more of our tax money actually paying people to NOT work. Thus, ensuring themselves a job forever and a large number of willing constituents, who do not want to lose their only source of income.

Last but not least, “I told you so!”

Obama-Care, Not Quite The Bargain That Was Pitched.

The last time that I went to the fair was about three years ago. Mainly we went to eat all of the stuff that you can’t seem to find anywhere else, like; elephant ears, cotton candy, gyros, Italian sausage and green pepper hoagies and my most favorite of all; candied apples. Amidst all of the lights and loud music there is a plethora of things that will entertain you, fill you up and for sure; take your money.

The Midway, nothing like it! The smell of all of that great stuff cooking. Popcorn being consumed at a phenomenal rate. Those electrifying rides, the side shows and of course; the games. A huge selection of stuffed animals, photos of Elvis adorned with gold frames, jewelry hanging there right in front of your eyes almost within reach, bowls of gold-fish on the table, yours for just the mere toss of a dime! All of that flash adorning the games. You are guaranteed to win something almost every time! Or are you?

There in their hour of glory, the ever-present Carny. Pitching the possibilities of winning that elusive prize! Today, it can be yours for just a buck! Man they make it look so simple. Just throw the ball and knock the milk bottles down and you can win the biggest Teddy Bear ever made! How easy can it be? Listen to the sounds of the Carny. The greatest sales pitch guy’s ever!

“Hurry right up folks! It’s amazing, it’s dazzlin’, it’s almost too good to be true. Step right up, step right up, times a wastin’ folks. Tell ya what I’m gonna do! You don’t hafta knock’em off. Tip’em flat. Four flat gets you choice. One win’s all it takes. Biggest per-rizes on the midway. Who’s uh next a heah?! You pay your money you take your chances.” Like music to our ears; the call, with the possibility to get something great for almost nothing, was very alluring to some. PT Barnum once said; “ there’s a sucker born every minute!” He must have seen a few of us coming!

Apparently the fair isn’t the only place that we can all stand back and watch the Carny’s at work. One must look no farther than Washington DC. Two of the greatest Carny’s of all time preside over the Senate and the House of Representatives. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Harry and Nancy are two of the greatest butcher’s on the midway and their sole intention from the beginning of the hard sell, was to burn the lot! The entire health care bill was a gaff and the mark’s were easy pickings. All of this made their agent very, very, happy for all of their hard work.

Don’t quite understand the lingo? In the world of a Carny, it’s easy enough. You see, a butcher is a Carny, who will take every penny from a mark, by confusing him and then forcing him to pay. When you burn the lot, you intend to cheat all of the players with little or no attempt to conceal the illegality or the cheat of the scam because; from the perspective of the Carny, they won’t ever play the same town again anyways, and of course a gaff is a un-winnable game. Which makes some of us, the mark. So, who is their agent? Well he is none other than their boss, the commander-in-chief. PBO (Obama). Understand any of that?

Let’s back the clock up a bit. Health care was supposed to be deficit neutral. That is the pitch that they made or, the call. According to the CBO, their entire bill would come out under a trillion dollars and would actually help to reduce the deficit. What? Come on now…they intend to spend $900 billion of our hard-earned tax payer money and actually, “reduce the debt?” They said that folks! Some people or marks bit that and fell for the whole enchilada. Remember PT Barnum? He said it best, I won’t repeat it again, that would be redundant. All of the Carny’s, assaulted the conservatives or in Carny lingo, the sharpie’s (those who are wise to the ways of the Carny and his crooked games) and played us off as liars and doom-mongers. Remember PBO and what he said as he was signing the bill? “It was a pleasant day, the sky was blue and I looked around me, I didn’t see any Armageddon!” He must have thought us sharpies were hammer-squash (stupid) on that day!

So why is it that after that great call by PBO, Reid and Pelosi, that the CBO now says the final tally will be well over a $1 trillion? Oh yeah, there was that little remark by the butcher herself, Ms. Pelosi, “in order to find out what’s in the bill, we have to pass it first.” Derrrr! Did you see that coming? Did any one else? What a bunch of mooch’s (that’s the same as a mark)! All the while, they had their hands in our poke trying to make off with our scratch for the big score! Don’t even ask…

Obama’s Socialist Agenda Places Freedom Of Speech In Jeopardy

The first amendment of the Constitution of the United States ratified on December 15, 1791. One of the ten bill of rights. Noticeably, the very first one. Deemed as absolutely one of the most important aspects of a free society and maintaining it. Without freedom of speech we are all slaves to our government. If we do not have the right to speak out or assemble freely, then freedom is lost.

Every dictator that has ever tried or succeeded in taking control of its people and their assets did so by first taking away freedom of speech and controlling the news media. Hitler’s Third Reich excelled in state-run media and propaganda. Stalin used the media to further his brutal regime. Throughout history, there is a multitude of instances where people were enslaved, by first making it illegal to speak out against the ruling party. It is a tried and proven formula.

Our founding father’s were very well aware of the power of free speech and chose to place this idea as first on the list of freedoms guaranteed by our constitution. These freedoms were fought for and sacrificed with blood, by the first patriots that helped to form this country that we now know as the United States of America. Freedom of speech is the most cherished of our basic rights. In this country we have had the privilege to speak out in public about our own government. Even those that denounce us have that same right, much to our own chagrin. Even so, it is what makes this country so exceptional in the world arena.

Our countrymen have fought for and died to preserve this right for you and I. It is not to be taken lightly. Freedom is a fleeting thing. It can be taken away from you right in front of your very nose. Hugo Chavez is right at this very moment using this tactic to turn Venezuela into a Marxist society. He has closed down much of the public media and imprisoned some of the owners for their anti-government press. He has authorized his puppet government to take control of public business’s and taken over their assets. He is aligning his government with other communist country’s like Cuba, China and the former Soviet Union, which looks as if it is headed back to its old communist regime.

This is happening at a time in history when we have the internet with all of its mass media and information available at the push of a button instantaneously. One would think it inconceivable that this sort of Marxist takeover could even occur with the knowledge available to the people of the world, but it happens even so. A figure in history; Jim Jones of the infamous Jonestown massacre, had a sign placed prominently over his pulpit that read; “Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.” This is the absolute truth.

The liberal news media in this country has been attempting to sway the public opinion of the Obama administration from day one and is singularly responsible for the outcome of the last election and since the passage of the health care reform bill, they have started a constant stream of propaganda aimed squarely at the opposition to this administration and the current Congress that pushed this bill through without the support of the majority.

Legislation is currently being proposed by Congress that would reinstate a federal communications policy known as the “fairness doctrine.” This legislation is a rehash of a bill first proposed in 1949 and is called; the “Fairness in Broadcasting Act of 1993. At first glance, it’s purpose is to equalize topics of discussion, to give a balanced presentation of conflicting news stories on radio and news broadcasts. It appears to have a sinister side as well. If enacted, it gives the FCC bureaucrats unprecedented power to control what can be said on the air waves. This is a dangerous step towards censorship and controlling the press by the federal government.

The Tea Party movement has now been targeted by the left, as a radical group and the left has been quoted as saying that they may be encouraging extremists. The recent coordinated crack down by the FBI on the Christian Militia group in Michigan, who are accused of plotting to undermine the federal government, has been blown all out of proportion by the mainstream news media in an apparent attempt to associate anyone speaking out against the Obama administration’s agenda with a small group of people who are extremists, thus trying to minimize the role of the Tea Party movement in the upcoming midterm elections. Even from day one, the right has been associated with violence and “Brown Shirts.” This from Speaker Pelosi herself.

Obama recently said that the protesters were mostly “birthers” and people who think he is a socialist. The state-run news media plays right along with his ideology. Now we are deemed as; racist-haters. The power of the press is very obvious and if you can control it, you are in a position to control what people think and substitute your own doctrine.

Recently, Obama said publicly that the radio talk shows like Rush Limbaugh and Shaun Hannity need to tone down the rancor about his policies. Is this now the agenda of this administration, to curtail freedom of speech? These are indeed scary times for the very last bastion of freedom on this planet.

Clearly the majority of American people have come to their senses and realized what is going on. The very fabric of liberty has been torn. The Constitution of the United States has been assaulted by this administration and we as a people need to stand up against this attack on our freedom before it is too late.

The Game Is Afoot. Can We Survive Obama’s Agenda?

To quote an old Sherlock Holmes movie line; “The game is afoot!” Having had time to look at the passage of some extraordinary legislation in the guise of health care reform, with all of the overt bribes, backroom dirty deals and bending or much worse, violating our sacred document of liberty; the United States Constitution. The mystery behind the bill and its subsequent passage, just gets deeper. Like an old Sherlock Holmes movie, it may take someone of his capabilities as a super-sleuth to unravel it all.

Many questions about why it was passed and the contents of it will be examined for sometime to come, hopefully exposing the unconstitutionally of it and ultimately leading to a repeal. This single piece of legislation may very well be the catalyst that causes the fall of the Obama Presidency, but not before the very fabric of democracy in this country is destroyed. The process of passage wrought with more corruption than any past session of Congress on record, begs to be fought in the courts for some time to come.

What stands out like a sore thumb is the urgency of its passage. Deadlines, time frames, trip after trip to the heartland to try to sell this hostile takeover of our medical system to the American people and now that is passed, yet another attempt by the President to make it all seem okay to the public. But it is not. We didn’t want it then and we don’t want it now. That is all too clear to even the most stubborn liberal Democrat out there. Why then was it so urgent to pass it so quickly? Like the stimulus bill and TARP, it had to be passed right away, we could not afford to wait. There seems to be a pattern here.

The health care reform bill is unique in that it will require us to start paying into this thing, that no one is exactly sure what it is about or how it will be implemented. Like Speaker Pelosi said; “ We have to pass it to find out what is in it.” Doesn’t it bother anyone to pay into something before it even becomes available? Whatever it is? Like making the payments on a car for four years before you can even drive it. As it will not arrive in whatever form it is until 2014. In essence we will be paying for something that is literally not there. Sound familiar? Remember a guy named Bernie Madoff? Who not long ago was convicted of fleecing people out of billions of dollars of their money, by selling them investments that were not really there. It is a called a “Ponzi Scam”. He is in prison now.

The amount of money that we are talking about is not chump change. No one knows for sure how much we will be taxed and make no mistake this is a tax. The question remains, what will become of this money that we will pay to the Federal Government? Is it going to sit around for four years and no one touch it until the time comes for the bill to kick in? I doubt very seriously that will occur. Not with our money hungry Congress. They have tapped into every fund ever established by themselves for one reason or another. There is no magical lock box.

So what is “afoot” here? Like a magician who uses smoke and mirrors to pull off the illusion of magic, we are being subjected to the very same thing. Apparently our Government leaders think that we are all fools and that we will not notice what they are really up to. There has to be a hidden agenda behind his all to apparent agenda. Socialism. We are in debt and maybe this is a ruse to pay off creditors. Hopefully the truth will come out.

Now that the bill has passed and the public has risen up against this thing, with great zeal, the liberal left has started a campaign to take the pressure off of them and place it on the Republicans and their fringe. The media has now clearly painted a picture of all those that oppose this bill as racist-haters. The description is running through the media like wildfire and it is a blatant lie. This is an attempt at a diversion to take the heat off of them so that they can get on with the next item on their agenda.

What is amazing is their total disregard for the unemployed and the attention needed to turn the job market around. What they are in all actuality doing, is killing jobs. These tax increases are going to make an already volatile job market even shakier. It will drive business out of this country, to places where the tax burden is not as severe on industry. All of this makes the mystery become even deeper. Is this administration deliberately trying to destroy our economy? Are they deliberately destroying jobs? They are certainly driving a wedge between the middle class and industry.

They have also started the process to gut our strategic defense, which the former Soviet Union is ready to make a deal with and with much gusto, to reduce the number of nuclear weapons that we have in our inventory. They have also treated our allies in the other parts of the world with utter contempt, as shown with the recent meeting with Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and are trying to appease dictators and tyrants in their stead. Everything that this administration is doing makes no sense to a rational person and yet there appears to be a pattern. They are selling us out. The game is indeed “afoot” and the spoils go to the victor in this most serious of all games ever played with our country’s freedom at stake.

When November elections arrive, we must decide how best to rid our country of these tyrants once and for all, and ensure that their legacy is ended. Our incoming Congress needs to be made aware that this behavior exhibited by the current members will no longer be tolerated by the American people.

A Third Party?

If nothing else was resolved as a result of the weekend vote in Congress, one thing did become very apparent with the passage of Obamacare. The American public which had been remaining quiet about the issues came alive with a loud roar. Much to the surprise of the Democrats it appears, who thought that they may come out as heroes for making such a bold move in spite of all of the polling. The unheard Americans came out in droves, outraged at this latest show of non-concern for the people of this nation. A bill that was so unpopular from its birth to its passage with the majority of us screaming all the way. NO!

It was the same way when the first stimulus was passed. Everyone thought that it was a bad idea but they voted for it anyways. What do you do? If these votes are any indication of what is going to happen next in the way of unpopular legislation; America brace yourself! It is only going to get worse.

Now the finger-pointing and the I told you so’s are flying faster than you can blink your eyes. The Democrats are in full damage control mode and the Republicans are out to make a point with the reconciliation bill now in the Senate. The Republicans vowing to stop it. Some of the individual States threatening to sue over it and most of America is mad as hell. All the while, Obama and his staff are sitting around slapping themselves on the back for a job well done. Totally unconcerned about the aftermath.

So, back to the point at hand. Who is to blame for this? Most of America is upset with the Democrats for so arrogantly passing this hideous piece of legislation without the support of the majority. After all this is a Democracy. Right? They are supposed to be our voice in Government. That is why they were voted in, in the first place or at least, that is what we thought. So then, should we blame the Democrats? They are in complete control of both the Senate and the House. This was the perfect storm. If you know anything about liberals then it should not have come as a shock to you to see this bill pass. It was Obama’s stated mission from day one. Health care reform. He did it, he said he was going to do it, plain and simple! He out-foxed all of us right in front of our own noses. The Democrats followed their leader right over the edge of the precipice. This was all predictable. So we can’t really blame the Democrats for doing what they have been trying to do for a very long time now.

If there is blame to be thrown around, throw a lot of it at the Republicans in Congress. Through the past two sessions prior to this, there was a serious lack of fiscal responsibility on their part and an arrogance all of their own toward the public. America was fed up with them and the legislative branch not to mention, the Presidency of George W. Bush. Bogged down in a war that nobody wanted us to stay in. WMD’s in Iraq that apparently never materialized and increased spending. All of this and a poor choice of a candidate to represent the party for the next election all spelled disaster for the Republicans. They abandoned their conservative base and many became what they now call RINO’s. Republicans in name only. People were tired of the same old politics and wanted change. Well, they got it. Although many now have buyers remorse.

Okay, so where do we go from here as conservatives? I am a little bit worried about some of the movements going on as a result of this fiasco. The Tea Party movement wants to start a third party and I can understand the sentiment. They are fed up with the current status quo. The left is too radical and the right has lost its might. So, let’s start a new party. I don’t know about you, but this concerns me. I wish it was really that easy. It’s not.

The Democrats emboldened by their victory over the masses must now feel like they are invincible. Arguably the next legislation on the slate is immigration reform. Seven and a half million illegal aliens in this country screaming for amnesty. They are potential Democrat supporters. Just waiting on a bill to pass, that may guarantee the Democrats a win, if they are granted the same rights as other citizens. Add to that, the possibility of a third party and we may be shooting our selves in our own foot. A third party could very well split the vote in a critical election and cause a Democrat to win. Remember what happened when Ross Perot got into the race and then got out only to get back in at the last moment? George Bush Sr. should have won that race hands down, but Perot became the spoiler and Clinton won by a narrow margin. It could happen again. Harry Reid said that he would invite a third party in with open arms. Can you blame him? Politically, he is doomed as a result of his actions in the Senate.

There will be lawsuits filed challenging this thing for sure. The Republicans are vowing to repeal it. In order for that to happen, the House and the Senate will have to be taken back. The public doesn’t have a lot of faith in either party right now and are pondering what to do. We have to think this one out. A third party sounds like the answer, but in all likelihood will sabotage any effort to retake congress. The Republican Party has some soul-searching to do. If they indeed want to remain a viable party for conservatives then they will have to implement change within their own ranks. Change that we can believe in or a third party will evolve and that could leave the liberals in power for a very long time. We cannot afford that alternative.

What have we learned as a result of all of this? Don’t trust the liberals comes to the top of the stack right away. I expect a tsunami in November’s elections, but it may not materialize if common sense and good judgment do not prevail.

Checkmate. Obamacare passes the House.

The Congressional switch board was literally jammed Saturday with an estimated one hundred thousand calls per hour coming in prior to and during the vote on Obamacare. The stage was set for a final showdown between the House of Representatives and the voting public and that is exactly what it amounted to; a showdown. All of the polls from start to finish indicated to even the least intelligent person on the Hill that the American people were not in favor of this massive takeover of our medical system. The phones rang continuously and all of their mailboxes were full and still this Congress that is supposed to be the voice of the people turned their back on us and voted in a predictable fashion.

It all seemed a bit too contrived and without remorse on any of their part. This health care reform bill which started off with a whimper and became the most hotly debated piece of legislation to pass through the Congress in many years has turned our prestigious halls of legislation into a house of shame. Our Representatives voted on a bill that will bring in more debt, more government bureaucracy, more government control and give the IRS more power than ever before and still they voted yes! Not once did any of them bother to hear the voices of their constituents. Not once did they listen to the people. Nancy Pelosi and her partners in crime had their arms interlocked and looks of shear arrogance, as they walked into the House cowering in the presence of the protest going on in plain sight. The entire episode was a travesty.

This bill is scheduled to be signed into law tomorrow by a President obviously relieved at the passage of a bill and with it the salvation of his Presidency. He has heralded it as historic and indeed it is historic. For the first time in our nations history one of the most comprehensive takeovers of American free enterprise has occurred. Not with due process of law, but rather by blatant bribery, arm twisting, shady backroom deals, lies, deception and trickery. The American people are not stupid and the game was up a long time ago. We as a people no longer believed or trusted the government and all of the talk of health care reform became a contest of wills. The speeches and rallies that they staged and televised with smiling people yelling out his name and sad tales of no health insurance were exactly that; staged. The meeting with all of the doctors in the white lab coats was total insult to our intelligence, a grand photo op with all of the coats handed out just prior to the video taping.

This administration has broken the trust of the American people. People are angrier than ever before and yet they look down on us with utter contempt. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the ring leaders of this great con on the public smile and carry on as if nothing at all occurred. Now they have another item on their agenda. Damage control. In this case however it has nothing to do with putting a spin on the entire thing with slick press coverage to cover their tracks. No. Next on the agenda will almost certainly be, immigration reform or amnesty as it has been called. 6.5 million illegal immigrates in this country will be given access to the bill just passed. Most do not pay taxes but they will be given a slice of the pie. Why? To help ensure a solid democrat support base. Divvy out free health care to a majority of low income and middle class people who are struggling to make ends meet in this dire economy and around election time you will have a guaranteed vote. Simple math.

In this board game that Obama has been playing with the public a winning move has just been made; checkmate! Or so it may seem. This game has awakened a people that have long been asleep and were content to sit back and watch things happen without so much as a twitch. They are more than awake now. They are angry! There will be direct challenges to this bill, lawsuits are already being drawn up. Individual states are assessing the possibility of nullifying it before it even has time to take effect. This is not the end of this loathsome bill. You will be hearing about it for some time to come. Have they overstepped the rules of the game? Yes, but November is right around the corner and along with it the mid term elections. We will see how the members of congress react to this when the time comes. Jobs will be lost in the House and the Senate. Possibly a complete loss of the House for the Democrats. A political tsunami will occur as a result of this bill, but it was a risk that they were willing to take.

The American people are resilient and this game is not over by a long shot. Checkmate? This game has just started!
