Post American World. The End Of Freedom?

So where are we headed as a nation? Do you ever sit back and wonder what is happening to America? Is this era that appears to be heading our way rapidly, only the beginning of the end of things as we know it? Up is down and down is up. We seem to be spiraling out of control and there seems to be nothing that can stop it.

Lets take a glance around us and see if we can make sense of it all.

Our economy is in the tank. There are no signs of immediate relief and it seems as if our government is oblivious to it all, while unemployment is at an all time high, mortgages are failing at record rates, corporations are going broke and we are bailing them out right and left, faster than the money can be printed. There seems to be no urgent need for our leaders to look at the books, which shows disastrous consequence for such unprecedented spending. Does anyone up there in DC even care? Apparently not.

Then there is Mexico. Our southern neighbor. The economy there, is even worse than here and they are coming across the border by the thousands. No effort by our federal government to try and slow it down, let alone stop it. Add to the mix, the drug lords and their war against the Mexican government. Last count, over 26,000 killed, as a result of this deadly war and it is just across the border. Illegals are coming across the border and now are carrying backpacks full of drugs and weapons. The amount being brought across on a daily basis, verified by video surveillance is sobering. The drug cartels are setting up power bases in our own country and yet our federal government says that there is nothing that they can do about it. Arizona tried to take matters into their own hands and the feds sued them in court, won and had it stopped. Amazingly, they will not do anything and yet they stand in the way of those trying to stop it.

Hugo Chavez, currently setting himself up as dictator of Venezuela and allying himself with the likes of Iran, Syria, China and Russia. Who are more than elated with that idea and are sending him weapons, technology and advisers. Last seen in Iran touring their nuclear facilities and hugging Mahmoud Ahmadinajad, both seemed to be having a grand old time in the photos taken at the meeting. Iran is interested in uranium deposits in Venezuela. I wonder what mischief those two crazy guys are cooking up?

Then there is our old friend Louis Farrahkahn and his nation of Islam cult, still jabbering behind the scenes about the wicked white man and his imminent demise at their hands. Yes, he wants to destroy America and all of the evil white people that inhabit it, with the help of some aliens, that are orbiting the Earth in a mother-ship about a half mile in diameter, filled to the brim with 1500 bomber planes, just waiting to destroy the white race and restore the true master race of Africans and African Americans back to power. What? He said that he has been on board and that is the truth, you can not make this stuff up folks! I believe his cheese has finally slid off of his cracker, maybe they are here to take him and his band of crazies back home, one can only hope. All of this still does not make him any less dangerous.

Just when you thought that things could not get any worse, there is Iran. Working fast and furious trying to become a nuclear power. They will do this and I emphasize “WILL”. Meanwhile we foolishly keep thinking that a big group hug by our fearless leader PBO and an apology or two for all of the terrorist countries, will make it better somehow and all will be okay here. Maybe they will leave us alone, one might think. Well think about this, in just two days, Russian technicians will lower the uranium fuel rods into the nuclear reactor at Bushehr. Thus enabling Iran to produce Plutonium 239. The fissile material needed for an Atomic Bomb. Not to worry though, Russia says that they negotiated a deal with Tehran and will take the spent rods back to the mother-land for processing, rather than Iran. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. How about you? Wow, a nation dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the USA, with nukes!

Mahmoud being the incredibly sane man that he is, still believes that the holocaust was a fake and that we dropped the Twin Towers in New York, instead of the Islamic Terrorist’s and having seen the hidden Imam who will bring about the Muslim’s version of Revelations (or the end of the world) with Islam being the good guys and winning the final war, is a pretty scary scenario. Recently they put a communication satellite into orbit, with a two stage ballistic missile, that only lacks a re-entry vehicle and guidance mechanism for a nuclear weapon but, relax this will not take long with all of our friends in the world who would gladly trade that bit of technology for some of Iran’s oil and natural gas reserves. Besides, everyone else in the world now hates us, even our longtime allies that this administration has snubbed. How long will it be before Iran calls our bluff and detonates a Nuke somewhere? Maybe even here.

The latest hot topic, being the Mosque at ground zero in New York and all of the rhetoric coming from both sides of the debate. Some saying that the US Constitution states that they have a right to build there to express their freedom of religion and others saying that the mastermind behind this plan is a radical Muslim and that 3000 American deaths on that site at the hands of terrorist’s are the reason why it should be banned. I don’t know…lets see…Where were you on 9/11? Did you see those people jumping out of the top floors of the Towers rather than being burnt alive? I wasn’t even there and am still traumatized by that scene. It was horrible and the families of those victims will get to hear the Adhan or the Muslim call to prayer five times a day, only to remind them of that fateful day if this thing is allowed to be built there. Is it a provocation? I would say so, as there are no less than 100 mosques already in New York, why do they need one in that exact location? Are they building bridges?Do they think that it will heal an open wound? I think that it will do the exact opposite and that is their intention. It is a victory mosque. If allowed, it will show the world that they won the battle.

Islam and infidels can not co-exist according to the Qur’an. Us and all of the free world being infidels (or those who do not except Islam). We are likened to all things foul; urine, excrement, pigs, etc. We as infidels are not even allowed into the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, the holy place of Islam, by virtue of the fact that they believe that we are not clean. Could we go to Saudi and build a Christian Church? We would be shot dead, if we even dared. According to the Qur’an, if we do not except Islam, we will be killed. It is every good Muslim’s duty to see that this is accomplished. There are no moderate Muslim’s who live by the Qur’an, contrary to what you are being told.

So where does this take us to? I spoke earlier about Revelations. An obscure book in the Holy Bible. Some call it a myth. Have you ever taken the time to read it? I have, many times over. It is about prophesy and the future of the human race. The last battle between the forces of good and evil, with the forces of good defeating evil for the final time, but not before most of humanity is destroyed. That battle-ground being a place in Israel called Megiddo. The text is mysterious, but it is a depiction of the total devastation of what we call civilization. If taken in the literal sense, it is in fact a nuclear war. With verses that depict the flesh being burned off of the bones before they even hit the ground, followed by disease, famine and more death. But not before a single world wide religion appears, along with one currency and one world wide government. Sound familiar? Look no further than Europe and the European Union as a model. All who joined the EU, gave up their currency for a new one, the Euro. In essence, they also gave up their individual sovereignty as a result of their joining. Then take a long look at Islam. They want the entire world and at the rate Islam is spreading it will not be much longer before that becomes a reality.

These are dangerous times. Our world has been through and survived many bad moments in history. The exception is; there were no nukes. We have seen what they can do in our generation. They brought an empire to it’s knees and ended a world war. Now, many nations around the globe have them. We endured a cold war with the constant threat of nuclear holocaust, but sanity prevailed. What if Adolph Hitler had developed the Atom Bomb before we did? What a different world this would be right now. He was a mad-man. A mad-man with a nuclear weapon, these are things that nightmares are made of.

Still think that the Book of Revelations is a myth?

This passage from the Holy Bible is chilling, it is from the book of Matthew, chapter 24, verses 6-11:

6- And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7- For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places.

8- All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9- Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

10- And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11- And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

I am not preaching, but look around. Do you like what you see? Are you worried? You should be. This country was founded by God fearing men. We are off course. Morality is gone. Families are broken apart. Honor is a forgotten word. Religion is being demonized. Government is out of control. What should we do? I do not know about you, but I know what I do. I pray. Everyday. Think about it.

Short Skirts And A Faltering Economy

I am not sure you would call this story an article, as much as it should be called a “Rant”. I think that I have finally reached the limit on the amount of “B.S.” that a human being can digest in one sitting. With all of the monkey poop that has been thrown at the public from behind the cage doors of the liberal news media this past seventeen months following the immaculate election of PBO, with his delusions of success in everything from; the stimulus, to the bank and auto manufacturer bailouts, the grossly flawed number of jobs created or saved, coupled with; ”a world wide…the US really sucks tour” and now the oil spill that keeps on spilling, even though the government has been there from day one. I have finally reached a state of complete overload. This being brought about by over-hearing a radio newscast today, that made me pop my cork.

It stated the following: “Rising hemlines – along with upbeat songs on the radio – are signs of national optimism and can result in a happy outcome on both the economic and political scenes, according to a new research reported by the Daily Express.”

“When women start wearing mini skirts and happy tunes rise high on the charts, this means the nation is feeling content, according to John L. Casti, author of “Mood Matters: From Rising Skirt Lengths to the Collapse of World Powers.”

“All social events ranging from trends in pop music and art to the outcome of elections and even the rise and fall of great civilizations are biased by the attitudes a society holds to the future,” he said in the Daily Express.

Well…what do you think about that? In the words of comedian Lewis Black, “Who the f–k knew?” John L. Casti, a mathematician /economist, thinks that short skirts are the answer to the nations economic ills. I had to sit back, digest that for a bit and then I screamed so loud, that I am almost certain my brain hemorrhaged! It is not the fact that Mr. Casti formulated this opinion that upset me so, he may very well think that short skirts are the answer to all things bad. There was a time in my life when I too could agree with him on this matter. No! What snapped my mind, was the liberal news media’s attempt at yet another sugar coated news story. Their propaganda machine is cranking out their twisted views, at a rate rivaling that of Sir Elton John’s prolific songwriting career. Give me a break!

Try telling that lame story to a man who has been out of work for the last year and a half or to the fishermen down in Louisiana, who have lost their way of life, as a result of the total in-competence of this administration. Take a long hard look at our increasing national debt and the willingness of this bunch of clowns in DC to spend even more of our hard earned money. What is next? Tax increases for sure, but even they will not pay down this over-whelming debt. $12.5 trillion! That’s with a T! If this spending spiral does not stop soon, this great country and all of it’s history of patriotism, freedom and economic success will fade to black. It doesn’t take an economist to predict that! Common sense is enough and it looks as if that trait is rare in Washington these days.

So, the economy is faltering, there is zero job growth, we now have nationalized health care for everyone, the banks have been taken over by the government, PBO wants to kick somebody’s a– over the oil spill, instead of trying to stop it and Joe Biden just got through calling some poor schmuck, a smart a–, over his remark about lowering our taxes, even though he had just given the VP a free ice cream cone. Talk about your in-gratitude. After that colorful interlude from the VP, I would have insisted the Biden pay me for the cone!

Mr. Casti may very well be on to something! Maybe I just didn’t reason it out well enough. Bring on the short skirts! Break out the booze and lets all have a party to forget this awful mess that we are in! Ignorance is bliss. Can you dig it?

November Mid-term Elections. A Day of Reckoning.

General McChrystal and his off-key comments by him and his staff, may well have cost him his job as commander of the US forces in Afghanistan. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, he made several jabs at the President and his advisory staff for his lackadaisical attitude and lack of leadership abilities, toward our presence in country and the US Military personnel fighting in the war. When he asked the President for more boots on the ground, he was put off for approximately two months while PBO thought about it.

Here we have a classic example of a President who has no military experience trying to micro-manage the military. Apparently by attaining the title of Commander-in-Chief and being given control of one of the most powerful fighting machines in the world, this makes you an instant first class tactician in the field of military expertise, even if you had little to no experience in the first place and add to it the fact that PBO has a great disdain for the military. This is a lethal combination for our men in uniform and I am certain that moral is at an all time low as a result of the bickering going on about policy.

If the lessons of the Vietnam conflict are not remembered, then we need to pull out of Afghanistan now before it is too late. 58,196 US soldiers died in that war. Congress micro-managed it and took away the decision-making abilities of the military leaders who may have been able to accomplish the task at hand had they been given authority to do so. Exactly the same thing is going on in Afghanistan. If you do not trust the decisions to the leaders whose job it is to lead our military in times of war and instead delegate to yourself those decisions, then you are destined for failure and the tragic loss of our soldiers in the process.

The recent decision by PBO’s administration, to try the masterminds of 9-11 in “our” court system after being captured at great risk of life by our men in uniform, is a reversal of years of precedents set by our military and the trials of enemy combatants captured in action. This is a dangerous protocol to follow. Should we now “Mirandize” war criminals? The Nuremberg trials after the fall of Nazi Germany were handled properly and the criminals of the Third Reich were taken care of in the proper manner befitting their crime. They were not awarded constitutional rights that we have, in their defense. A military tribunal took the appropriate action and that is how it should have been handled.

We are at war with Radical Islamist’s, like it or not. On that fateful day in September, they declared war on the United States by destroying the Twin Towers and killing over 2800 US citizens. The decision to go to War was unanimous by the members of Congress and we are there still. If our troops are in harm’s way, then our Government has the moral and civic duty to give them all that they require to achieve their goal and shorten our stay there. If we cannot give them what they require, then we should remove them from harms way. This war is not going to just go away as this administration hopes it will. No amount of bowing to the enemy or apologizing for the past actions of the US in the global arena will end our enemies desire to kill Americans. This war will not end without great loss of life and persistence, but once again, if we are going to fight in a war, then we should give it our greatest effort to achieve total victory.

General Douglas MacArthur faced the same attitudes from the White House during the Korean conflict. This was a war that was also micro-managed and it ended in a truce. The tensions that were present then, are still there as a result of miscalculations on our part and weakness shown by our government. Had Truman listened to his General in command, the war may have had a different ending all together.

Some Presidents are born leaders while others are born politicians. Very rarely does one come along that has both abilities. This administration lacks both, and it has become appallingly apparent to us and the rest of the world. We are now seen as weak in the eyes of our enemies and are not to be trusted by our long time allies in light of how they have been treated over the past two years. While all of the ills of our country, have been blamed on the past administration by PBO and his arrogant lack of accountability in all that he does. The voters have finally wakened from their slumber and November will truly be a “Day Of Reckoning” for this President and his failed policies.

“The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13 and only Twelve percent (12%) say that Congress is doing a good or excellent job.”

Surely this man, our Commander-in-Chief, can read about how his presidency is falling away from all of the glitz and glamor that the mainstream media showered upon him as a candidate. He is a falling star. Will he take us all down in a blaze of glory? One can only hope and pray that he resigns and saves this great country from a total collapse. However I do not see that day arriving, the best we can hope to do is restore the two-party system to the congress and bring about an end to tyranny in our country.

Welfare in America. The New Slave Trade.

My Father was raised on a farm in South Georgia. He was born right in the middle of the Great depression. Money was scarce jobs were even scarcer. I recall stories of getting up before day light to do his chore for the day. He had to bring in the wood for his Mama to cook with for the day. There was no electricity. He recalled pumping water for the livestock such as their cow and their mules, he said sometimes he wished they would bust, they drank so much water. When he was old enough, he helped his Father plow the fields. He had to wrangle the mules and get them all hitched up to the plows. He worked from daylight until dark in the fields.

He also went to school, it was what his Mama wanted. She wanted him to get an education, (he made it through to the 11th grade) even though most in that part of the country and in those lean days, stayed home and worked the fields. That is how they made what little money that they had. Hard work and determination was the rule of the day. His Father was a hard-working man with little or no education, but he had one thing that is a rare commodity these days; pride. When he was young, if you didn’t work, you went hungry. My Father passed that and my work ethic on to me. They were all survivors back then, with the determination to succeed.

World War II soon came along and my Father answered the call, along with most of his brothers who were of age. They all served honorably in various branches of the service. Patriotism comes to my mind, when I think of the people back then. My Father landed on Normandy beach during D Day, June 6th, 1944 and went all of the way to Berlin. They stopped at the Rhine River and waited on the Russians. He survived and his brothers made it back in one piece also. When he died several years ago, they placed a flag over his casket. There was an Honor Guard from the VA and they played taps on a bugle. They presented my Mother with his flag.

That man worked every day of his adult life, trying to provide for his family, the best that he could. We never had much, but he gave me something that I cherish more than money; the will to work hard for my living and pride in all that I do, along with a deep love for my country.

I look around at this great country, that he helped to keep free from tyranny. I see rampant unemployment, business’s failing and worse yet; jobs being sent over seas. American jobs traded out for cheap labor in an attempt to gain that elusive bottom line. Our cities and our great manufacturing jobs lost to countries such as China and Mexico. The very thing that made this country the envy of the world; manufacturing, given away at an alarming rate. These companies that made their fortunes here, selling us out. Where is their pride? Where is their Patriotism?

Something that is sadly missing in this country is on the rise. Work ethic. People no longer have the same work ethic of our predecessors. Now a days, people want everything that their parents had, only they don’t want to wait. They want it right now. The big house, the fancy cars. If you don’t have the money, buy it on credit.

Then there is the one thing that I believe is a blight on our country. Entitlements. Welfare, whatever you want to call it. We have become a welfare state. What was meant to be a safety net, has become a way of life for many and in their eyes it is free, but everything has a price. Welfare is in a way, slavery. You are a slave to the State. In return for giving you a check, written on the back of the working taxpayers, our Government assures themselves of a permanent place in your life, thus giving them a guaranteed job as long as you stay on the program. This is where pride should be seen, but it is not. My Father and his Father would never have excepted Welfare. They made it through worse times than we have ever seen and their pride and determination kept them away from that path.

So where are we at? This great country is headed down the same abysmal path as those countries in Europe. Socialism is a system that will fail every time. There is not enough people who will want to work, to support the programs. Hell, why work when you can sit back and receive a check, right? Our leaders in our government, love their jobs so much, that they are willing to sell you out to keep it. You keep getting less and they keep giving themselves a raise. You have become a slave all over again. You don’t even know it.

Patriotism, pride and work ethics are fading fast in this great country. At the rate we are going, we will be completely on the dole in just a few more years. Broke and destitute. Who will lead the way as the beacon of freedom then? China? Russia? Iran?

Wake up America! Before it is too late. We can still turn this mess around.

Obama’s Socialist Agenda Places Freedom Of Speech In Jeopardy

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The first amendment of the Constitution of the United States ratified on December 15, 1791. One of the ten bill of rights. Noticeably, the very first one. Deemed as absolutely one of the most important aspects of a free society and maintaining it. Without freedom of speech we are all slaves to our government. If we do not have the right to speak out or assemble freely, then freedom is lost.

Every dictator that has ever tried or succeeded in taking control of its people and their assets did so by first taking away freedom of speech and controlling the news media. Hitler’s Third Reich excelled in state-run media and propaganda. Stalin used the media to further his brutal regime. Throughout history, there is a multitude of instances where people were enslaved, by first making it illegal to speak out against the ruling party. It is a tried and proven formula.

Our founding father’s were very well aware of the power of free speech and chose to place this idea as first on the list of freedoms guaranteed by our constitution. These freedoms were fought for and sacrificed with blood, by the first patriots that helped to form this country that we now know as the United States of America. Freedom of speech is the most cherished of our basic rights. In this country we have had the privilege to speak out in public about our own government. Even those that denounce us have that same right, much to our own chagrin. Even so, it is what makes this country so exceptional in the world arena.

Our countrymen have fought for and died to preserve this right for you and I. It is not to be taken lightly. Freedom is a fleeting thing. It can be taken away from you right in front of your very nose. Hugo Chavez is right at this very moment using this tactic to turn Venezuela into a Marxist society. He has closed down much of the public media and imprisoned some of the owners for their anti-government press. He has authorized his puppet government to take control of public business’s and taken over their assets. He is aligning his government with other communist country’s like Cuba, China and the former Soviet Union, which looks as if it is headed back to its old communist regime.

This is happening at a time in history when we have the internet with all of its mass media and information available at the push of a button instantaneously. One would think it inconceivable that this sort of Marxist takeover could even occur with the knowledge available to the people of the world, but it happens even so. A figure in history; Jim Jones of the infamous Jonestown massacre, had a sign placed prominently over his pulpit that read; “Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.” This is the absolute truth.

The liberal news media in this country has been attempting to sway the public opinion of the Obama administration from day one and is singularly responsible for the outcome of the last election and since the passage of the health care reform bill, they have started a constant stream of propaganda aimed squarely at the opposition to this administration and the current Congress that pushed this bill through without the support of the majority.

Legislation is currently being proposed by Congress that would reinstate a federal communications policy known as the “fairness doctrine.” This legislation is a rehash of a bill first proposed in 1949 and is called; the “Fairness in Broadcasting Act of 1993. At first glance, it’s purpose is to equalize topics of discussion, to give a balanced presentation of conflicting news stories on radio and news broadcasts. It appears to have a sinister side as well. If enacted, it gives the FCC bureaucrats unprecedented power to control what can be said on the air waves. This is a dangerous step towards censorship and controlling the press by the federal government.

The Tea Party movement has now been targeted by the left, as a radical group and the left has been quoted as saying that they may be encouraging extremists. The recent coordinated crack down by the FBI on the Christian Militia group in Michigan, who are accused of plotting to undermine the federal government, has been blown all out of proportion by the mainstream news media in an apparent attempt to associate anyone speaking out against the Obama administration’s agenda with a small group of people who are extremists, thus trying to minimize the role of the Tea Party movement in the upcoming midterm elections. Even from day one, the right has been associated with violence and “Brown Shirts.” This from Speaker Pelosi herself.

Obama recently said that the protesters were mostly “birthers” and people who think he is a socialist. The state-run news media plays right along with his ideology. Now we are deemed as; racist-haters. The power of the press is very obvious and if you can control it, you are in a position to control what people think and substitute your own doctrine.

Recently, Obama said publicly that the radio talk shows like Rush Limbaugh and Shaun Hannity need to tone down the rancor about his policies. Is this now the agenda of this administration, to curtail freedom of speech? These are indeed scary times for the very last bastion of freedom on this planet.

Clearly the majority of American people have come to their senses and realized what is going on. The very fabric of liberty has been torn. The Constitution of the United States has been assaulted by this administration and we as a people need to stand up against this attack on our freedom before it is too late.

The Lemmings

Many years ago there was a wild life program on television that featured an odd little rodent with peculiar migration habits. They are very prolific creatures and at times their population seemingly explodes for one reason or another. Some of the film footage that was shown was unusual in that it depicted the creatures rushing along at a frantic pace following some instinct that has not been clearly defined. Of course the creatures are Lemmings. They are common in the Arctic Circle and range as far away as Norway

At some point their frenzied march came across a seemingly insurmountable obstacle. A cliff. However this did not deter them in their quest. They followed each other to their untimely demise one after another right over the edge. This is truly odd behavior. Some biologists called it mass suicide, while others say that the urge to march forward was so overwhelming, that it was just impossible for them to stop. What ever the reason they have gained their place in the animal kingdom as odd creatures for sure.

There are other creatures that parallel the little rodents and currently there are many of them that reside in Washington. They call themselves Congressmen. Our Congressmen. Lined up, one after another set to follow their leaders over the edge of that same insurmountable obstacle. Some will call it mass suicide. Political suicide but, none the less it is suicide. Their un-resistable urge? Health care reform. They must have it at all costs. Why? Change. Remember that word? It was thrown at us a year ago along with another word; hope. Hope and change but, what do they hope to change?

One sixth of this nations economy is up for grabs and in their desperate reach for the Holy Grail of the progressives, they are doing exactly what the Arctic Lemmings do on occasion. Following their leader over the cliff. The mid term elections are near and the result of passage of this bill, will bring upon them a devastating eviction from the offices that they currently occupy at the hands of the American voters, who have watched hope and change turn into the hopelessness of debt and government expansion on a scale unparalleled in the history of our nation.

All of the polls indicate an overwhelming majority of Americans are strongly opposed to this bill as it exists now or any of it for that matter but, our Congressmen are marching to the beat of a different drummer and have turned a deaf ear to the people that put them into their current positions. There have been marches on Washington, angry town hall meetings and Tea Party gatherings. Still, they march to the edge of the cliff. Drawn by some unseen power. What could that be?

Special deals, behind closed door agreements, arm twisting. Does the end justify the means? How did we get to this place that we are currently at? The offices in Congress used to stand for honor. The people of this great Republic were at one time, the voice of Washington. No longer is that the case. They are now our voice. They speak for us. Parliamentary procedure has been replaced by bribes and skulduggery. They have not even tried to conceal it from the public but, rather boast about it in front of us with full media coverage. The once great Halls of Congress have been reduced to the status of a corrupt house of ill repute.

The Lemmings are at the precipice and it seems that they are willing to drag this great country over the cliff with them. Currently our national debt tips the scales at an incredible $12.5 trillion dollars. This health care reform bill weighs in at an estimated $1.5 trillion. Our government has never successfully estimated a total cost on any bill that they have ever passed and yet they are confident of their projections and are trying to sell it to the public by any means necessary. With more Americans out of work now than at any recent time in our history, it seems illogical to try and pass such a large increase in spending and a complete take over of our medical system but, they press forward.

What will it take to prevent this catastrophe in the making? Who in Congress is listening? The Republicans have unilaterally drawn a line against this and yet they can not prevent it. If this bill does pass, we can only hope that the elections in November will bring in a wave of new conservative members with a backbone, willing to repeal this nasty piece of legislation before it destroys this country and put it to rest once and for all.

Ponzi Scam aka; Health Care Reform

Do you believe the concept?

Do you believe that this debate is even about reform?

It is a slick, packaged deal that has only one purpose. To destroy the foundation of this country. It is a Ponzi Scam. It goes by several names, but in the end, it is a scam in the form of a crisis. Remember Saul Alinsky? Change can only be made, in the shadow of a crisis. Well guess what. We are in a health care crisis. We were just in a mortgage crisis. A banking crisis. A H1N1 crisis. A climate change crisis. A auto manufacturing crisis. An economic crisis. This list of crisis’s is infinitesimal according to this administration. Rham Emanuel was quoted recently, “never waste a good crisis!” Where on earth do you think that he was coming from?

A correct analogy would be SNL’s skit from way back; Land Shark. Remember that? The knock at the door. The voice of the lady resident; Who is it? The answer from behind the door; candy gram! But I didn’t order any candy…(long pause)…pizza guy! But I didn’t order a pizza…(another long pause)…cable guy…Ohh yeah, I was having trouble with the cable, come on in! She opens the door and there in front of her is a guy in a shark costume who rushes in and eats her. She screams! Remember the white coats at the Doctors visit to the White House? I knew it was a fake even before the news hit the mainstream. Clearly a put on affair. A con.

What is even more incredulous is the fact that so many people actually buy into the notion that this debate is about health care reform. It is anything but. This administration could care less about your or my health or the ability to purchase insurance. Let alone how much you pay for it. This entire forum is about control.

What kind of control? For one; control of 1/6th of our economy. There is a tremendous amount of money and power up for grabs here. Do not be fooled. This administration wants it. They grabbed up the Banks, and the Auto Industry.

Secondly; taxes. If the single payer plan evolves and becomes law, you will be required to buy into it. The IRS will handle the collection of the money. It is nothing more than a hidden tax agenda. It will come out of our pocket. Somewhere around $3800.00 per person I believe. You do the math. Big savings…hunh? What a boon to bigger government! More of our money at their disposal. You know that they are very frugal with our money and wouldn’t put us further into debt, right?

The very constitutionality of this debate is precarious. A Government mandate requiring you to buy into this plan, clearly violates the 10th amendment to the US Constitution. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Plain and simple.

This administration has by-passed all of the parliamentary procedures to pass a bill that over 60% of the American people are opposed to. It will bankrupt us and is unsustainable. It takes away from the future of our country’s existence and will place so much debt on us, as be a National Security issue.

If any medical coverage will be available out of this, it will be similar to Medicaid. Which we already have. Medicare will be gutted to make room for the new plan, which as of now doesn’t even exist. This bill is ill conceived and dangerous to the American economy.

It is being forced through the house without a final vote. If our government can do this, how long will it be before we are it’s slaves?

An Open Letter To Our President

Dear President Obama,

I am currently in possession of a great amount of money that I would like to donate to help reduce the size of our deficit. It took a huge undertaking on my part to raise this much money, approximately $3.5 billion. I worked very hard to earn it and had to whack a few people along the way (sorry…hope you understand). I rationalized this due to the current devalued dollar, that you have so graciously given the American people, for all of their hard work and sacrifices building this country into what it was, until you came along an reduced it to what it is now.

I will be sending this money to you, as soon as I can figure out how to transfer it from the Mafia Wars Bank, to the Federal Reserve Bank (maybe you could help a brother out and arrange for Mr. Bernanke to help with the transfer). I hope your Trusted Secretary of the Treasury; Mr. Geitner will take it easy on me with the taxes, oh and please don’t tell him where it all came from, so I don’t get audited.

Crisis Mode

The past year in congress has been a very busy one. The rush to pass legislation based on the call; a crisis is looming. Everything was a crisis. The economy was in a crisis. The banking industry was in a crisis. Even the environment was in a crisis. Then there was the H1N1 crisis. The call sign for the new administration: CRISIS. There seemed to be no end to all the crisis’ that we were in all of a sudden and there seemed to be a lot of statistics to back it all up. Not to mention multiple speeches on the subject. This administration is all about…the crisis. It is amazing at the amount of attention that one can garner at the mere mention of the word; crisis.

The wrapper wasn’t even off of the new package, that was just voted in, and off we went! Hurry up and pass the stimulus! We are in a crisis! Sadly, I don’t recall the crisis being that significant, until the “C” word was uttered out loud. Our congressmen jumped on board the crisis train and never once bothered to glance back. They looked in utter amazement towards the public, because; we didn’t get it! And after many unapologetic speeches, that accused us of being everything from simple-minded to brown shirts, in the wake of the stimulus and now healthcare, the salesmanship kicked in. I recall several republicans commenting with remorse, on what they had just voted for, without fully understanding the consequence or for that matter even the simple act of actually reading the bill and its fine print! Nearly one trillion dollars, all with the stroke of a pen. Then on with the next crisis! It seemed to be the end of all things as we knew it!

I may act a bit crazy now and again but, I am not stupid! What do they take us for? Do you remember, all the Doctors that showed up on the Whitehouse lawn for that big rally in support of the healthcare fiasco? Mysteriously, they all seemed to be fashionably coördinated! What were the odds of all of them showing up with their white lab coats on? Astoundingly high, I would venture to say. Before the political commentary was even on the air, I remarked, ”who do they think they are kidding? What a hoax!” Then only to find out a day later that the Whitehouse staff, passed out the lab coats at the meeting. DUHH?! Did they actually believe that the majority of us couldn’t see right through that? That event epitomized; transparency. The Whitehouse actually believed that all of us are so incredibly dumb, that we would buy into that little dog and pony show! It took my breath away to feel so completely belittled, in that way!

Now that the elections in New Jersey, Virginia and Massachusetts are over and a clear message has been sent to those in DC wearing the clown suits. They still look at us with utter contempt! Over 1.3 million angry voters turned out on their front door step, back on 9-12, and they still could not figure out why we were so angry. Now who is being stupid? They are lost in some sort of alternate reality somewhere. They believe that ruining the economy of this great nation is what it is going to take to get us out of this crisis. They believe that they are our saviors and that only they can right all the wrongs that society has dealt us! How dare we stand up to them!

All of the back room deals and outright bribery, that was used to get the worst piece of legislation in the history of our pathetic leaders up on the hill, shed a brilliant light on what our system of government has mutated into. The members of congress should be ashamed of themselves for being so blind and so arrogant, to the will of the majority of Americans, that pay their salaries! Have they forgotten who put them there in the first place? Have they forgotten who they work for? What will it take for them to snap back to reality and realize what they are doing?

The liberals sit back and point their fingers across the aisle at the republicans who would not bow down to their demands for quick action, and have the audacity to say that they would sit by and do nothing while the crisis looms on!

They are correct in one respect; there is a crisis at hand. The fact that we are fast losing our rights and freedoms at the hands of a few arrogant politicians, that think that we need to be told what to do and how to do it, without voicing our opinions. This is what you would expect in a Marxist Society, not in the greatest democratic nation on the face of the earth. The one thing that this country is famous for, rising to the cause in the face of a crisis is coming. The elections are in November, that will spell the end of their pitiful attempt to change this country. Let all who are PATRIOTS, rise to the occasion and send a clear message to Washington. This behavior will no longer be tolerated and you sirs, are dismissed!!!!

The Day That Freedom Died.

Today, the citizens of the world, stood by in utter disbelief as a solemn group of men and women in uniform and the last members of it’s congress, ceremoniously lowered the flag, of the once greatest nation on earth, for the very last time. The sound of a lone bugler playing “Taps”, filled the air with a bitter sweet sound. It seemed almost surreal, the mood in the capitol of the former United States of America, was somber. Tears and the sounds of people sobbing, were heard in the distance, emanating from the crowd that was being held back by national police in riot gear. The once proud nation that was the beacon of freedom for the entire world, seemed isolated in it’s death throws, now a faded dream of many.

This brave new world that started with a revolution and a separation of ways between it and it’s European motherland, has been the worlds inspiration for over two hundred of years. Freedom and prosperity drove immigrants from the four corners of the earth to escape their squalid lives and leave their entire world behind them to settle there in search of a better quality of life. This country that started with a desire for freedom and independence from an oppressive government, was formed by the dream of a few men with a common vision. Fought for, at the cost of countless brave souls whose vision of a land where; life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, became the envy of the rest of civilization.

A nation that rose above all and became one of the most powerful countries on the face of the earth. A people that were as diverse as could possibly be, united by a democratic system of law and protected by a constitution, written by patriots several hundred years ago. A nation that seemed unparalleled in it’s ability to rise to a challenge and overcome. Empowered by a people that could build or make anything that they chose.

This once great nation led the way to freedom in Europe, not once but twice and shed the blood of it’s young men and women to protect the sovereignty of it’s neighbors, threatened by the forces of Nazism and Fascism. The European nations faced certain death at the hands of evil but, were saved by the industrial might of it’s great factories and the brave soldiers who fought tirelessly for their brothers in arms.

This once great nation that put men on the moon and defeated the greatest threat to freedom on earth; the former Soviet Union and it’s spread of Communism, now stands by and awaits it’s fate. Racked by years of never ending debt and inner turmoil, created by the very people charged with keeping her free. History will look back at the Presidency of Barrack Obama and it’s socialist agenda as the eventual cause of the collapse of this once powerful country. Years of excessive spending and millions of lost jobs, literally bankrupted this nation.

While this nation was drowning in debt, other nations such as China, Japan and Germany were buying up it’s livelihood, all because of it’s government leaders arrogant desire to control the wealth of it’s citizens and create a government controlled bureaucracy. The expansion of government and increases in entitlement programs for the people proved fatal to the economy of this great nation and ultimately led to the collapse, that we are witnessing today. It is truly overwhelming, to witness the looks on the faces of the bystanders who have lived to see this day and have seen with their very eyes the end of an era. An era that once prompted the following poem, that was forever enshrined at the base of a famous statue, that still sits on Ellis Island in the very harbor, where over seven hundred thousand immigrants came to this land in search of freedom, in the shadow of one of the most recognized cities on the earth:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breath free;
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless,
Tempest-tossed to me
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame is the imprisoned lightning,
And her name, Mother of Exiles.
From her beacon-hand glows world-wide welcome;
Her mild eyes command the air-bridged harbor

What will become of the history of this once great nation? No one knows. As we look upon the faces of the citizens, that stand transfixed at the sight of their flag being gently folded for the last time, we wonder. Could this have been stopped? Was this necessary? What could have been done to stop this tragedy? Where were the patriots? Where were the defenders of liberty? Why did no one stand up to this?

Two hundred and forty two years ago, just a handful of men, “PATRIOTS” started a revolution and fought one of the most powerful countries on the face of the planet to establish; “AMERICA.” Today, the remaining free countries of the world mourn the loss of the last beacon of freedom and it’s enemies cheer it’s demise. The threat of war did not bring this proud nation down. Bad economic policies and endless assaults on it’s constitution, by people trying to change a system of government that was the role model for entire civilizations did.

What lessons can be learned from this? Where does the rest of the world turn to now for guidance? Who will come to the aid of those brought to their knees by disaster? Who will feed the hungry? Who will help those being persecuted? Who will lead the world into the future? Who?

The world now holds it’s breath as we all wait to see the outcome of this darkest day. The day that freedom died.
